14-15psi...D1SC or F1A??
14-15psi will be my target psi (I think). This will be on a forged 347 with 9.5:1 (unless I open the chambers up), stock 6.0 heads, mild-medium blower cam, LS6 intake. I would like to run this on straight 93 octane, no meth. From what I understand, the D1 will be damn close to maxing out at this boost level but the F1A will just be getting started, plus I heard the F1A would have less chance of belt slippage since this psi is no problem. Im curious that if I run the big F1A at this boost level with the 347, will my low end power suck?

Your mid range with the f1a will be very nice, on the other hand, the D1sc would need about a 3.85-4.00 pulley depending on cam/headers/rev limiter.
The F1a will be there for more power once you get addicted to hp and want more (it will happen). Upgrade while you can at time of ordering, its a simple change and is ALOT cheaper to do it initially.

I am in the same boat. I have one question, how possible will 8s be with a 347 and F1A? This is with a 2900lbs car with all suspension and drivetrain setup.
Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread...I am just adding some to it. Hope that's okay.

IMO the D1SC maxed out will give more midrange hit then the F1A slowed way down. Naturally the F1A maxed out will give more of a hit then a maxed out D1.
Like I mentioned in PMs, look at you airflow/HP goals and pick the blower that will suit your needs. If you plan on going faster then get the bigger blower, when you buy new is the time to do it..

On an engine that is already forged, I personally would go with the F1A. 14 to 15 psi will get old and you'll want even more boost before you know it, as speed is addicting! Bob
