Default Mti Clear Lid W/ Powerdyne

Well I am looking into installing a powerdyne supercharger onto my v6 bird, I have near all the parts but I have recently ran into a bind. I purchased an ls1 MTI clear lid, which is just shy of 4 inches in diameter. The flex tubing that was going to go to the inlet of the supercharger is 3.5 inches, has anyone had this problem and have a solution that I could buy or rig up? thanks.

Well, you want a smooth transition, so you could make a simple 4" to 3.5" transition. Check the Fleetguard catalog (search the web for Fleetguard) on page 27 - they sell cones, then all you need is a bit of a 4" OD to clamp the 4" hose to, and a small area of straight 3.5" to clamp that to. Or if you don't care about the transition, like for a modest boost system, just get a 4" to 3.5" silicon transition from turbohoses.com or someplace like that. Or you could keep it simple and just put a 1/4" band around the Powerdyne inlet (1/4" on both sides would make up you half inch different, and just clamp to that.

Does that help?

Jim
