i want to now what the best electric cutout on my stock exhaust or catback?
in ls1 camaro 346 ci 15 psi Procharger d1

I'd go with a good catback, and then get the car tuned. A cut-out plays havoc with tuning, as it changes the tune dramatically depending on whether you tuned it for being open or closed. It could then either be too rich or too lean when the cut-out is in the opposite postion that it was tuned for. Bob

So if you tuned with the cutout closed with the exhaust going through the cat-back, then if you opened the cutout afterwards would it run richer or leaner? I've always wondered this...

Leaner. If you're going to run a cutout....tune it open and run slighly richer closed to be safe.

Ok thanks for the info... I am finally having my car dyno tuned for the F1 this Saturday, so I'll open it up for the tuning.
