Default anyone else have their intercooler under the car?

i got a p1 procharger kit for my lt1 and the intercooler is located under the front bumper..its very annoying when it comes to scraping and looks itself..Probably gonna redo it to a front mount but just wondering if anyone else has 'under mounts'

I have my laying flat in front of the air dam, cut the front bumper back (well, forward toward the front of the car) a bit to fit the entire thing and have it open to fresh air. No problems with mine, has never hit the ground, yet... knock on wood! =)

Do you remember what size intercooler you used?

Thanks,

I've got mine flat mounted. Built a new bumper support for it. If it hits the ground, I'm worried about more than the intercooler.

It's 32x12x4 total dims.

Here are a few shots of one that I made. Took place of my airdam. Hangs no lower than the dam itself.

wow, sidemounts AND that one?!? That thing has to have pressure drop bigger than ****, i bet youd pick up some serious power doing a nice big frontmount setup.

I bet that one set-up could gain an easy 4-5 psi by going with a front mount.
