Default gm mls gasket purchase

where does everyone get there mls 6.0 gaskets. please post the link if you could.

also i see that pace lists mls gaskets one for 19.90, another for 39.90, both say mls, whats the differance

i checks gm parts direct, but none say 6.0

I got mine from SDPC. Send Matt @ SDPC a PM and he'll get you a quote. There are differences in the 6.0L gaskets. There are 3 layer and 5 layer...

How much are the 5-layers running for these days?? Has anyone switched and noticed after blowing the 3 layer??

I just paid $24 apiece for a 5-layer set. Haven't installed them yet tho...

i switched to the 5 layer and had no problem's. Cablebandit is also running these new 5 layer gasket's without problem's.

Are you running those 5 layers on the amount of boost listed in your sig?

Yes I was. I now have a different set of head's though. They was working fine,just got a good deal on the new head's.

Yes you can still use them.They are just a tad larger diameter than the 6ltr. gasket's ,but work fine. Not that it make's a difference,but the new 5 layer gasket's are completely flat.

any special tricks, some spray copper sealant i read, others just go on dry.

Whats the advantage of the 5 layer over the 3?

And these are fine with a 4.000 bore? (Im actually 4.030 just wondering for the stock bore peeps.)

I use the permatex brand you get from the part's stoe. I don't think you are supposed to take the gasket's apart. The 5 layer will work with the 4.030 bore. They are actually a tad larger in diameter.
