Cool Going to make one more try for the 8s tomorrow with the old 346, wish me luck

Not the kind of weather I would like to see this time of the year but the new engine is here and needless to say this one has had a long and hard life and its about time to retire it. If I wasnt trying to get the thing to run a little quicker I bet I could easily go another year running 9.30-9.20s with the D1SC with it but I'm wanting to step it up a little.

I may go ahead and make the switch to a turbo for next season, pretty sure I'm about at the end of the F1A's rope and not sure if I should go ahead and try an F1R/C or just make the switch to turbo(s). Even though the SDCE has been working flawlessly I'm not 100% sure it going to handle an F1R or not for what I'm doing.

If the barometer picks up some overnight I'll have a good chance of seeing an 8.9999999 maybe, but if it doesnt I think it will be another run of 9 dohs

Its about on kill as it can get, blower is at max impeller at at 7100rpm and unlike the D1 where there is some room for overspinning this impeller spinning at 74K is enough for me

New engine is just a 365, not really much different than this one except I wanted the 4" bore. I'm pretty sure an F1R and an A2W IC would wake things up a little though. I'm going to have to just try it with the F1A to break it in though. Be interesting to see how much it picks up over the 346.

Knock it down Kevin! Better engine, better heads...same old sc

If the baro works in your favor, I'll predict 8.85 at 153mph.

Then get that stuff off the car and go turbo.....you'll be in the 7's asap with your set-up skills.

you're maxing out the F1-A? didn't realize that was possible on a 346. Nice work

Spray a whole bunch of NOS on the intercooler to freeze it before you go, then drive it like you stole it.

Yes, just an LS2 based, stock crank from W2W. Supposedly the LS2 blocks are a little stronger, I'm going to use the 72cc AFR 225s on it.

9.17 was the best it ran with the D1SC in like 0 DA weather, although it has run 5.80 in the 1/8 with the new cam in excellent weather with the D1 I never ran in with the D1SC/3.4 in the 1/4 mile with the new cam. The F1A most definitely makes more power, I have never had a chance to run it in really good weather this whole year though.

I drive it like that every pass. If I had an extra full nitorus bottle laying around I would have someone spray the IC down right after the burnout I'm hoping the weather will be good enough though.
