The abilty to retard up to 10 degrees of timing retard has been added to the Linginfelter 2-Step also. It is adjustable from 1* to 10* or the option can be turned off completly. Early versions can be re-flashed for a minimal fee from what I understand. Tested this on thier dyno with my car a few weekends ago. When the retard option is turned ON the Yellow +12V activation controls the 2-step and the Green Ground activation controls the retard function. The retard only becomes active above 3,000 Rpm even if the control signal is ON. The retard can be used while the 2-Step is active if desired.

What is the difference between the Synergy 2-step
and the Lingenfelter unit? (besides a ton of $$$)
Do they both cut spark only?
Has anyone used both units?

Synergy is a pain to wire up. The Lingenfelter is a plug and play.Just hook up power and ground and go!

Synergy's isnt hard to install unless u have some crazy add on or something.8 wires,1 per coil signal.and wire a switch, done.i have mine for sale cause i decided its a bad idea with the 10 bolt still in the car.if someone wants it let me know.

I've used the Synergy and the LPE unit, and they both work great, but honestly I did appreciate the plug and play of the LPE peice.

ok i think i know the answer but with a 2 step you cant do that with the stock 4l60 unless your wanting a gear flying out the side correct? you would have to step up to a turbo hydro for the 2 step to be any good?

The two step doesn't really have much to do with it. It's more of a weight, power, how built your trans is type of thing.
