You can use a std Manual boost controller with a ball and spring like the Forge, my favorite manual since it clicks as you turn it and can with street and race boost levels.

If you want an electronic controller both the AEM boost controller/gauge and the turbonetics e-boost/2 work very well for the money.

Aem has its issues. I was going to buy one till i did research, and found it doesn't always hold accurate boost. If you want manual i would suggest hallman pro manual, if you want cheap electric profec b, if you got a little more money ams 500,a nd alot of money ams 1000.
Eboost is great also.

Good luck, Chris

I run the Joe P manual boost controller, it's one of the best mbc's in the dsm/import world. I then use a GM boost solenoid on a switch that I have on my floor, this allows me to run low boost or high boost ON THE FLY.

I dont know about you guys but i think all of the boost controllers ive used have sucked or im using them incorrectly. (i think they suck) because none of them seem to be acccurate enough and the boost/power levels always fluctuate which bothers me to all hell. SO what i did is get that nice little POS boost controller, throw it in the garbage and ran off the wastegate spring. THAT sure fixed the accuracy problem ps-Its my boost controller i used some gay turbosmart i dont know what MBC, next time ill try something else to see whats up

you have a boost gauge that fits in your vents is all you need . The ams-500 relies on a input to trigger the stage. This can be by button or a switch of some sorts.

99% of the problems with EBC's is user error and not knowing to to properly set the duty cycle on the controller to keep the proper boost.

that being said,

AMS makes a great product, only reason i didn't mention it was because of the cost.

EB2 works great. It takes some time to figure out all the menus. I change setting driving down the road now.

I paid 250 bucks for the AEM tru boost and it is really simple to figure out. I don't think you can find another EBC'er for the same price? Its nice that it is the same size as a 2 1/16 gauge so it fits in the pillar pod.
