New setup for my car, extremely excited! Forged everything, twin 61s
So in spite of my car being stripped this left the opportunity to build it back from scratch and making it better. After careful consideration, talking with tuners, machine shops, and fabricators I have finally decided the final build on my car and will be done shortly.
Engine:
by VA Speed *thanks shawn for speedy service can't wait*
5.7 liter aluminum *forged 347*
seasonon factory block fulley machined
stock crank-polished and nitrided
eagle h beam rods
mahle forged pistons and rings
clevite bearings
arp head and main studs
ported 6.0 heads
gm head gaskets
ls7 lifters
comp cams pushrods
jp performance timing set
ported ls6 oil pump
factory rockers
LS6 intake and ported throttle body
the cam is a custom turbo cam, some of the specs are 228/228 .591/.591 @ 114 LSA
Fuel:
Aeromotive 1000 hp inline fuel pump
Racetronix 60 *really 63 lbs* lbs injectors
Transmission:
Stage 3 Performabuilt transmission *thanks Frank for speedy service as well, awesome customer service*
Hughes 3200 stall @ 2.2 STR
Drivetrain:
Fully built Dana 12 bolt with 3.55 gears *hoping to get a taller gear I really want a 3.08 or 3.23 if anyone knows where I can get some please let me know*
Suspension:
Bilistein HD shocks front and rear
Subframe connectors
PHR bar
Aftermarket torque arm *reinforced as well*
Safety features:
Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator set @ 58 psi
Catch Can
AEM Wideband
20 PSI boost guage
TiAL Blowoff valve
Turbos:
This will all be suited with Twin T61 Garret Ball Bearing Turbos with a large 3 core intercooler *exact dimensions unknown for right now*
Exhaust:
(2) 3 1/2 inch downpipes that run to the back with the aid of 2 magnaflow straight mufflers per turbo to quiet down the noise
Chrome dual tips
Wheels:
ZR1 Chrome with Yokohama AVS 100 tires *i like it street style ha*
Tuning:
Tuning will be done by NicD and with a Speed Density 2 bar *or even 3 bar* tune.
CAN NOT WAIT to get this car tuned and on the street. My actual goal for the car will be 650 whp but many people are saying it is way possible to go over
welcome to opinions and what I may dyno at, hopefully all goes well.

Looks good, but the biggest problem area is going to be the tranny/converter. 650 rwhp will take it's toll on any 4l60 no matter how built it is and I have never had good luck with any hughes converter holding. Shooting for 650 rwhp on our shitty pump gas is a good goal but not sure if it's doable through the stalled auto. If it was a 6 spd car I would just say no problem that's easy. Also those tires won't hook from 60 mph so it will be pretty worthless power unless you put a real tire on there. Of course it has more potential with higher boost/higher octane but then you also really will be straining the tranny/converter at that point. If daily driver reliability is your goal I wouldn't even worry about the higher boost/octane right now.

that is true,if u do plan to do higher boost i would start saving for a th400 or a 4l80e if u want to keep overdrive.

i dont see u making over 650 to the wheels on pump gas... with that tranny and stall combo, i am predicting exactly 608 rwhp... but still, sick set up! and yes, u will regrett the 3.55 gears.

he can easily make 650 on pump no problem.

not through his stall, he can't.... on that setup, with those turbos, he would need a 3.08 gear ratio.... take it from a 60 year old man...

With that setup you should be able to hit 800rwhp if not a little more! But the tranny will only hold up to 700rwhp if that. It should not break,it's just the clutches are not strong enough to hold the torque of the turbo's!
Nice setup you have planned! You will be happy!
