Default To AC or not to AC, that is the question.

I am struggling with a couple of issues and would like other opinions. This is a first for me because I typcally don't worry much about such issues. I usually just forge ahead with the idea in my head but find myself in a quandery here for the first time. I am wondering whether or not to run accessories such as AC and power steering or ditch them in favor of a flaming river manual rack and just sweating during the sweltering summer months here in the deep South. I am also struggling over the issue of installing either the TH400/ATI convertor combo that I have or a 4L80E (Already have.) and a Vigilante multi-disk lockup. Never thought I struggling over such issues. Any and all relative opinions are welcome and thank you in advance.

a/c limits kit choices. a/c and p/s limit room under the hood to work on things.

I chose OFI kit...a/c ...p/s..and 4l80 as I drive my car most everyday and it gets hot here in Ga like AL. Everything is a TIGHT fit and it takes some tweaking but for me its worth it along with the extra weight for streetability though it definitely leaves some et on the table so pick which is honestly most important to you.

And also what is the car's primary function going to be? If it will serve as regular street transport AT ALL keep the A/C at least. If it is going to be a race car or Saturday night cruise/race car then ditch whatever you want. It is not going to cool off down here anytime soon. And it is about 9 months out of the year that are terrible humid/hot down here. Not just summer.

I'd been considering ditching mine too, think I'll do my best to keep it (gotta get custom lines bent and possibly relocate the compressor). I'm gonna be street driving it alot and breaking it in etc in the summer.

I had Suedo (SP) A/C on the old Shop car. Windows down and 65-150mph. Kept me plenty cool. Didn't need it in the rainy weather. I just didnt drive the car.

Stagnant. I have more than enough to keep me busy right now. Being a one man show can be a pain in the development area.

Thats what I did and I have your same kit. Wasn't very difficult just one line needs to be lengthened and compressor relocated.

I live in Florida, and i would not even think of taking the a/c out!!! You will be hating life if you do, after a while you will not even want to drive the car in the daytime traffic. Keep it, you can have a fast car with the a/c.

Post up anything you want I don't mind. Particularly if it is related to the A/C compressor. I would love to relocate it if possible.
