Anyone start off with a turbo setup then go blower?
Just curious to how many people started their ls1 cars FI life with a turbo kit then went on to a blower setup. Im running the old qmp kit and im thinking towards the end of the season of changing it to something more serious.
Ive also read alot about some really high hp procharged cars with the F1 blower. It looks like a lot easier of an install to do a procharger with possibly less issues.Except for maybe belt slip. Anyway whos done it.

ive had a couple turbo setups and finishing up my first custom.
a good friend of mine has a F1C firehawk that i took for a rip...... it feels great, ballsy for sure. i like the simplicity and how clean and complete the setup is. however, ill stick with the turbo. i just like the feeling and power of it better.
it's all personal preference

That'd be me. I had a forged 6.0L 364 GMR twin turbo on the trans am and it was fun but I didn't like the unresponsiveness of the engine or the turbo lag plus I did have quite a few bugs I had to work out with it. I sold it last summer and am having Shawn at VA Speed do me up a forged alum427 w/F1R so I don't have feedback on it but I have done enough research to determine it's worth dropping big coin on and that it'll be all that I had hoped.

Any proper turbo setup should perform just as well or out perform any supercharged car.....to change from Turbocharged to supercharged is just absurd.
turbo's make "free" power....if you didnt like the Lag the turbo...turbo's had, then go smaller....superchargers still need to make boost too...

Lag is for the traction, boost is for the action
