Default Cleaning intercooler and pipes?

I have had my intercooler and the stainless steel piping laying around for almost a year. The pipes have accumulated lots of crap in them, but those should be easy to clean. How do you guys recommend I clean the inside of the intercooler? I wouldn't want a years worth of dust getting sucked into my fresh motor. Plus there was lots of oil in there from before which I am sure was making it less efficient. Thanks

Pour some denatured alcohol through it. Does a good job cleaning and you don't have to worry about it leaving a oily film when it dries. never had a problem in doing this.

Yep, and if you're impatient, blow compressed air through the intercooler to help dry it faster

Fill the IC w/ a mix of degreaser and water. Allow to sit, flush, and repeat as necessary.
The outside: Use A/C coil cleaner. HD, or Lowes.
