Default How far are you supercharged going on the maching of the block??

well I'm awaiting a 6.0 block that I'm going to be running in my D1SC Camaro. I am wondering what you guys think is necessary and what is going too far.. I'm looking for around 800rwhp when said and done but I know I'm going to have to go to an F1A eventually...

The plans thus far are to:

*bore block to a 4.030
*have block deck honed
*have block align honed through the mains with studs installed and torqued to spec
*check all bearing clearances on the crank and block
*thinking of having the head stud bosses pushed out to accept 1/2" studs

My question is there anything else you guys would do?? Thanks in advance

Chris

Make sure when the block is bored that torque plates are used.

Ok... At what point would you think that you need to go to the larger studs?? This is going to be 800rwhp through a TH400..

At the time I would think about half inch studs I would be thinking about buying a LSX block instead. So any more then 1000whp I would advise to go that route.

I agree. Stock head stud size will work just fine, mine is shown here with an F-1A.
