Thumbs up Tom Snitzers 402/F-1C/ 804 rwhp with 15.9 psi

Check out this relatively low budget build using Patriot Stage 2 heads that came off of Tom's old 346!

Bob,
Would the L76 and L92 help this motor in the upper rpm range? If so, how much?

Thanks, David

The l92s would be better then the patriots most likely. The current setup is the stage 2s and a fast 90mm. It needs more cam to keep going. You can see the current cam dies at 6100 or so.
Current cam is a 232-240 115, this cam is fine for a 346-370in motor, any thing larger you will want a 236-246 114 ish cam, just depends on heads/intake/goals.

We have the same cam in this 402 with AFR heads, which is making 809 rwhp at just 14.4 psi. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=29
I'll bet when we get around to cranking the boost up we'll see 900 rwhp on this CTS-V.
My bet is that the L76/L92 would help out quite a bit. Bob

Funny you mentioned that, yes we have entertained that thought. We're working on something we want to try with the F-1A in the meantime to see if we can get more boost out of it. Bob

Chris.
Tom is still using the ProCharger twin intercoolers. We're using an Alky Controls methanol system with it as well. The inlet air temp's aren't that high, and the twin intercoolers assure as much airflow as possible getting to the radiator. We felt this was crucial since this car is driven quite hard on a road course. In fact, Tom picked the car up at our shop yesterday and ran it at the track last night on his way home with the car.
