Default F1R intake question... Keep the FAST?

Hey guys, I've got a 402 LS2/Procharger F1R build coming together this winter. I currently have a Fast 90/90 setup that I was using in my last H/C build. Should I look into selling it and using the money elsewhere and pick up an LS2 intake instead or should I just keep the Fast?

Fast has been used on 1000 hp builds and they usually do pretty good up to 20psi. Aps was running fast to 20psi on their forged up 346. On afr websites there are links to couple of 1000 hp builds with the fast 90/90 combo. If you are going much past 20 then it might not be the best if it does leak. Then ls6 or street warrior or something one piece would maybe be better.
I like my fast as it can be ported and you can run direct port nitrous. I am going to keep using it until have a problem. And won't be likely running much past 15psi on my build.

I say get a nice carb intake and elbow. I would be afraid that the FAST would leak.

Just keep the Fast intake. If I start talking about flow, boost, etc.. it will just turn into a giant **** fest.

It may out flow a victor jr but a vic jr will flow equaly to each cylinder I ditch my fast along time ago just for that reason im tired of my 7 8 5 pistons reading higher temps then the others. just my .2

How much does that route cost?

I haven't seen any definetive EGT or AFR testing to confirm that. All I've seen is people use those setups and not have problems. I think it would depend on what sort of throttle body you are using to. 4150 style throttle bodies have an advantage over the elbow setup in filling the front cylinders.

This is where I bought mine... GMPP intake with custom elbow for me... This one in the link is a GMPP with a standard prefab elbow, they also sell the Vic Jr, for LS1,6,2 heads...

Bingo... that's the big issue... 7 & 8 have serious issues on moderate to high boost apps. the carb style intakes fix this, and they still flow pretty damn well...

If I can remember I think the fast had better flow with a 90 mm t body. But yes you can port the Vic JR but will it out flow a fast I dont know. I will take the vic jr over any stock stlye ls intake

So what's the difference between the one from Dallas Performance and the Vic Jr?

Will the stock fuel rails and ls1 style injectors still swap over without any issues? Just curious if I have to change anything else.

I also heard that the gm carb style one has a lower profile than the edelbrock one, can someone confirm this? Also do they sell a low profile elbow that does not need the hood cut?
