Default One Pump Ok?

Ok guys..here is my setup. I am deciding wether or not a second pump will offer me any benefit at this point...

Its a stock long block 346 with exception of valve springs and push rods. Truck manifold build:

MP T70 .96ar
60lb Mototrons
Single Walbro 255

Does everyone think that I can properly feed that combo on one Walbro? Thanks...

How much power do you want and how much boost?
Right now I'm only getting about 7psi out of mine and I had to cut my second pump off to get my tune right. When I'm turn able to turn my boost up I will most likely need it.

With a racetronix kit and hotwire I maxed it out at around 550rwhp. Just depends on the power you wanna put down on that pump.

I'm running a procharger, but i also ended up maxing the single pump out around the 550 mark.

I ended up with a dual intank set up, and followed the sticky in the fuel section. Best part is that its fairly inexpensive!

Probably not a bad idea to upgrade it now...

If you go over 550rwhp, plan on adding another pump.

When I turn up to 10psi on one pump, its not enough...

The twin in-tank modification is the way to go.
I believe Lonnie's Performance can set you up with one professionally done and warrantied for $600 shipped.
Or you can do it yourself.

Well I already have one, and a hotwire kit on it....

I dont plan to get past 500hp on this motor I dont think...I want to try and make it live if I can...

Does everyone wire in the second one to be on all the time, or on a hobbs switch to come on at a certain psi etc?...

You should be able to make 500rwhp with a single Walbro. I went over 600 with mine but added a BAP after 550....

Is it somehow more risky running just one? Or not really since two could lose power just the same? I will be running a Fuel PSI gauge and a wideband, so it will be monitored well

I have mine running on a hobbs switch that turns around 3psi.

I was starting to lose a bit of fuel pressure on the single pump around 5psi, so i got it setup for 3psi to ensure i wont lose any fuel pressure.

I also have a toggle switch so i can turn on the 2nd pump manually if i want, but thats not really necessary.

Hope it helps...

I bought the Lonnies dual intank system with lines and everything. Look into that if you plan on upping the boost more down the road.
