Default fuel pump interchangeability??????

i was wondering if the fuel pump motor from an lt1 will work in my 02 ls1 camaro? i 'm sure i will have to swap the motor itself out and use my sendin unit, but as long as i use my regulator and the pump fits i figure i could even use a pump motor from a 6 cylinder f body. i tried a couple search on stock pump interchanges but found nothing so far.

You can make anything work with enough effort, but there are 4 distinct pumps
LT1, 98 f-body, 99-02 V6 & 99-02 V8. Buy the correct parts & save yourself some grief.

my issue is right know i may be dealing with a car with a cracked block plus????

long story, but my car has been sitting for 5 years and i just put a bunch of money in it and would like to go to the junkyard, get a fuel pump motor to put in my sending unit, and see if the car starts. and runs for awhile.

i have nowhere to keep the car anymore. i fixed the stuff that sidelined it for years. if it needs a new motor i'm forced to sell it.

can anyone tell me what motor may fit in a 99-02 sending unit?

thanks for your time

Call me, I can set you up with a new factory pump (with fuel sock & hose) for $69.

Take Lonnie's suggestion. Don't use a pump from the junkyard.
