Truck intake using EV1 injectors?
Hey everyone, I did a search on this and no luck,
I've got a 6.0 LQ4/4L80e swap in a 54 Ford, anyway I've changed cams, springs, 150hp N2O shot and converter other than that its about it.
Anyway it still has the stock truck injectors in the truck intake and I want to keep the intake and I have a set of "redtop" svo injectors laying around that use the EV1 connector, I've got 8 new EV1 style pigtails I was going to wire into the stock harness and then raise up the stock fuel rails with spacers to accomodate the taller SVO style injectors.
My question is,
1) Has this been done before? and if so how do I get around the problem of the fuel transfer tube (the tube that transfers fuel to passenger side rail) raising up and still being able to use the "Vortec" plastic intake cover?
Any other suggestions before I attempt this?

LS1 type injector orings are not big enough for the truck intake. Katech makes a kit that includes the bigger orings and the correct length spacers. I think I paid about $27 for mine.

I found out from Katech I may be the only one thats attempted this? They said they weren't sure on the EV1 injectors vs the truck rails but they have 2 different height spacers, 1" or 1/2" - Still working on figuring out if I need different O-rings or hopefully use the truck O-rings on the LS1 style injectors.

This is the kit you need. Sorry, I thought I got it from Katech.

I put ls1 injectors on my truck intake and had some spacers kicking around from something else. the o rings on my ls1 injectors seem to fit nicely and are pretty tight in the intake and rail.

Update: I got my injector swap done this weekend and they seem to work.
You'll need 4 spacers about 21/32" thick or a hair over 5/8", I cut all my wires from the stock harness and the common "pink" wire is on the left side of the injector while looking at the mounted injector and obviously the other wire is the trigger wire is on the right side, even with raising up the stock truck fuel rails up that much the stock "Vortec" engine cover still fits so you can't even tell it happened
