Default Need help with fuel routing

Noob when it comes to fuel systems im using stock fuel tank/pump from a 00 fbody and a ls6 fuel rail.


Two questions is this diagram correct for the returnless style system and second I plan on using russel fittings and -an line what size do i need to use on the feed and return

Your drawing is correct. You'd be fine with -6 for all of it. Use a Russell 644123 adapter on the supply and return ports to connect -6 AN hoses to the fuel pump.

Also need the straight hose fittings 639203
Looking at russels site cant seem to figure out which tee I need to run my return

If your stock pump is still stock then just use it like it was in the newer car and just run an external filter. You can run the tee before or after the filter, too.

644123 on the inlet side, and the outlet is an M16x1.5 o-ring fitting iirc. If you don't have that stuff for the tee fitting I would get a different filter. A 33484 filter has 3/8 push connects on both ends so you could just use generic fittings for the tee and line back up to the return on the pump.

Yeah it's a Wix number, all the parts stores will have them. It's the same size filter, it just has different fittings.

Since the filter has push connects do I use 644123 or 640853

probably sounds stupid but how do the 644123's go on and it seems like the 640853's would be better?

Both fittings go on the same push connect, but the 644123 is a much more secure fitting. 640853 is a fire waiting to happen. The plastic retainer wiggles loose with ease.
