Needed when your fuel system needs are greater than the stock rails can provide.
Nasty's Rails are without a doubt, the nicest looking, and best setup for connecting to the factory feed line. All Aeroquip fittings I believe, no hose clamp setups here.

For reference, here is a link with a set of the Nasty Rails, on a Fast 90mm intake, painted, etc, etc.
More in link below. Several angles.

The stock rails are fed in series and don't have the correct fittings on them to use braided hose (although it can be adapted).
By going to the aftermarket rails you can feed them individually, use a FPR, and use the proper fittings... They look better as well. No real performance improvement until you reach the limit of the factory rail design (~675 rwhp).

CompTA, how did you connect to the factory feed line? Or did you run braided line from the pump to the rails?
Those clear anodized fittings look pretty sweet too.

Just to give you guys some inf. I had 30lb inject and just a T-rex fuel pump and I was running out of fuel up top while spray 150 shot-Car in Sig. I know everyone say it will handle the power, but mine didn`t. With the Y1 cam I pulled 441rwhp and with the 150 shot I pulled 655rwhp. Car would fall on its face in the 1/8 mile bad. I have since replaced the cam-milder 232 232 598 598 114 lobe and added a 255 intank and 42lb injects. I haven`t dyno`d it since then. I`m going back to G-force to do a dyno tune soon and see how she does. I`m thinking the rails might help alittle, but some for looks also!

It's a 45 degree -6 fitting. FYI, in the kit that FAST is soon to offer, the line to the fuel rail will have crimped fittings rather than the screw-type. It's a much cleaner look...I'm campaigning to get one of those instead of what I have now
There will also be a fuel pressure gauge available for the passenger side rail, we test fitted for it today.
