Default 8an fuel line hook up

For those who are running 8AN fuel feed line. How are you connecting it to the tank if you are running a Racetronix in-tank pump set up? I know on the pump assembly it has the hard piped lines that come off the top of the lid that the pump attaches to. Just wanting to know how you adapt the 8AN line to these lines?

I am using the Pure Chioce GM to -6an adapter with an Earl's -6an to -8an union fitting. Works great.

if you 'adapt' you will lose the flow capability of the -8 you just spent your hard earned money on

put a -8 bulkhead into the tank and then run the fuel pumps into that

I am assuming that putting a -8 bulk head in requires some modifying of the pump cover lock? I don't mean to sound like a retard but I'm not quite following you. Could you explain what's involved in doing this. Thanks alot.

yep, drill a hole to fit the bulkhead and you just spin the pressure sensor around to make room for it.

Given the pump and module outlet ID there is no performance gain by installing a -8 bulkhead into the plastic assembly.

I did the same thing Mightymouse did. Worked great. I was running a dual intank setup.

Do you suggest running a 6n feed line? Or would it be ok on the stock feed line with bigger rails and FPR plus a return for 650rwhp?

Stock feed and -6 braided teflon return line is good.
Upgraded rails, return and FMFPR are a good idea.

I think the Idea here is to add the ability to handle the extra volume that the TWO(2) pumps would provide. It is not intended to be done to a single pump system. There is no way the stock fuel feed line to the engine can deliver the fuel required by an engine making 900ish horsepower no matter how much pressure you use.

So how far can I get with the stock lines and fuel rails with a FPR, return style set up, and some 60# injectors? This is on a FI car by the way.

What year is your car because the 99-02 have the plastic top on the fuel tank and it is difficult to drill. Here is what we did. We have made a few more modifications but this will give you the idea.

MightyMouse do you run into heat issues with your regulator right above your exhaust manifolds?
