Default 98 vette fuel line

Hey guys, my buddie just bought a 98 frc. He's currently driving back to TN from Cali. He called a wanted me to post this for him. He was wanting to know why the 97-98 vette has two fuel lines. I have not had a chance to see the car so I do not know what he is refering to.

97/8's had a return line at the rail from the factory.

in 99 they moved to returnless (regulated at the filter)

97-98 had a return line. The regulator is not at the filter tho its in the tank.

BTW they didn't have FRC's in 98 though. Only coupes and verts...

'97 & '98 Vettes do have a return line from the rails, but the regulator is not in the tank. I've worked on 2 '98 sending units in the past week & they are not in the tank.

The regulator is on the fuel rail, thats why it has a return line to send the excess fuel back to the tank that it regulates.

97-98 have the regulators mounted on the rail
99-Late 03 This would be the VIN after 114930 (last six digits) built November 25, 2002. Have the regulator in the fuel filter.
03-Present have the regulator in the tank.
