Default flow-matched injectors?

I am upgrading to a L92 416 stroker from an LS1. I am going to have to upgrade my fuel system. How important is it to buy flow-matched injectors?

That is a risk assessment you will have to make for yourself. I didn't want to gamble at all with my new setup when I did it, so I got the flow matched ones.

Racetronix recomended this to me when i asked about flow matched injectors.
7+4%
8+3%
5+2%
6+2%
3+1%
4+1%
1+0%

Getting non flow matched injectors that haven been flowed isnt a good idea because there is a roughly 6% tolerance in the injectors and you dont want to end up putting the least flowing injector back at #7 thats just asking for problems.

Thanks for the info. I was leaning toward the flow-matched injectors and you guys have convinced me now to go that route.

Thanks!

That was my plan also.....but the Flow Matched set (Frod Racing) I got did not number the injectors or the flows on the card. Impossible to tell which flow related to which injector. Thanks Frod.

Might be worthwhile checking before buying that this most simple action is part of the deal.

I just ordered a set from Thunder Racing. I bought these:

"Siemens/Mototron Deka 4 Flow-Matched 60# Style Fuel Injectors"

They are having a sale this weekend!

Good deal, those are the ones I bought last time Thunder had a sale. Just don't expect them to be marked. Mine came in clear plastic bag with the Racetronix part number written on the bag in black marker. I had a friend who bought some about the same time, and his came in the same way. I guess they figure they're so closely matched, the placement of each injector is irrelevant.

hope you don't run into a rich idle. with your setup you should have enough idle airflow to run them fine i would think.

We have a sale on flowmatched #42's and #60's right now for $40 extra , and our flowmatched injectors come with real data sheets and the injectors are individually labelled for each injector flowed on the sheet that they come with . We also offer flowtesting service for injector sets as well .
