Default Best spark plugs for LS1/LS6?

I'm using the NGK TR55 spark plugs right now and was told the copper will wear off after a few wot runs. Well, if that's true then why would they be advertised as good plugs? Are there better plugs that will last longer? Mine seem to be sparking just fine after several wot runs and a tune up.

LOL @ this thread.

TR55's are good copper replacements for 100% stock application.
Tr6's are good for a few bolt ons.
NGk 3526 are better suited for cam only setups
NGK 8's are nice for smaller to medium nitrous shots
NGK 9 and 10's are for the bigger nitrous huffs.

I know its an old post but, I am going to be putting in a cam within the next year. Would running NGk 3526's be ok in the mean time?

village people are talking, don't listen.

NGK tr55 are fine, these are the standard heat range. standard NGK TR-55 are standard plugs, lasts 50k miles I think roughly.

NGK TR-55 IX - iridium plugs (rare metal) and last longer to say 100k miles.

NGK makes the different heat range plugs and they also make those same plugs in the iridium model, hence IX.

this also depends on how bad you beat on them and it is always a good idea to check every now and then.
