Default 1972 camaro swap EFI information

I'm hopefully soon picking up a 72 split bumper project that me and my father are going to be throwing a LQ9/TH400 combo into. He's pretty dead set on carbing it and I'm wanting to put a LS6 intake on it and stick with EFI.

Does anyone have any info on doing EFI on a swap into a older car? I'm probably going to be picking up a 1998 LS1 computer and harness for dirt cheap and I'm wanting to know if anyone has any info on doing EFI using the harness out of the camaro.

Also, what are the pros/cons of doing a carb setup or keeping it EFI? I already know most of the pros with sticking with EFI ( no pumping the gas to start, reliable, better MPG and tuning) because im wanting him to see why sticking with EFI is a better idea

thanks errbody
