My LS1 ITB's
So, with a lack of garage I collect parts... My newest little toys, I should be completely done minus a few nuts and bolts for my LS1 240z project to be done parts wise and shouldn't take long to B U I L D (sorry had to spell it out for myself). Kevin from Accurate Injection was AWESOME to deal with, kept me updated and was honest with everything. Onwards with the pics!!

2.5k from manifold to filter minus injectors. Expensive but cheaper than turboing or SCing my car the way I'd like to. Also kept me from selling my LS1/T56 N/A for *cough*4cyl SR20DET*cough*. SO in reality I saved me money I would have lost selling my stuff and buying other stuff for a different engine.

They are 45 mm butteflies opening up to 50mm manifold ports. I didn't need larger ITB's as my car is a street/strip car wanted better low rpm throttle response. Accurate Injection is soon to be carrying larger ITB's soon for you HP junkies, right now I'm the first of their LS1 setup.

P.S. I'll be out of town till Monday, so their will be a delay in response.

I'll try to get pictures taken and posted on Monday. Currently out of town for Thanksgiving.
Thanks Ace, I'm really happy. Hopefully with get some work done on the Z-car putting me closer to completion for these bad boys.

You know you could have bought two GSXR ITB setups for about $300 and their throttle bodies are larger than that? Taht setup looks extremely simple also. The tb to head manifold is just a piece of triangulated plated. Maybe it's solid, I don't know?

Beaflag VonRathburg - Yes I do know that I could buy two GSXR's (see my other thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...631&highlight= ) but then I'd have two hodge-podge GSXR setups, that wouldn't look nearly as nice. Last time I checked, I've never seen anyone do it a Motorcycle setup (at all) and have it look decent. Also having massive ITB's isn't exactly the best thing for a daily driver. 45mm is the right size for MY setup, now if you're building a +8k RPM, HP monster, sure go for your Kinsler or Harrop manifolds and their +50mm throttle bodies. If my setup doesn't suit my needs, I can always upgrade to larger throttle bodies from accurate injection, using the same manifold. The throttle bodies are only 45mm but they taper to a 50mm manifold. Again this isn't HP monster, its not a setup I'm designing to be a 1/4 queen, so these fit MY needs withing MY budget. Just $.02
Thanks,

Don't get me wrong, they can be used and CAN work. However the configuration setup for a V8 is significantly harder than a setup on an I-4. There aren't any existing cast OEM manifolds for the LS1 that have runners like on your Honda's, Nissan's, etc. for you to cut part of it for the motorcycle ITB's. So you're left with creating your own manifold, either out solid billet like mine, or a sheetmetal manifold (neither which I have the skill to create). You then have properly design all your dimensions of your manifold to accept the different dimensions of your throttle bodies. You'll have to modifiy the throttle body linkage shafts as they won't be the same spacing apart as they were on the motorcycle. If you have the time, the skill, the money, etc. to do this then go for it. However I don't think its fair to compare the ITB setup of a I-4 to that for a V8.
Sharpe - Here are some pictures of the filter setup included. I'm playing around with single filter setup to match the custom SS hood for my Datsun 240z.
Mike454SS - sorry for the delay in pictures, hope this is what you wanted.

Tyson, thank you...thats exactly what I was hoping to see...looks awesome, congrats on a sweet setup.
Beaflag VonRathburg...I REALLY REALLY doubt you're going to find ANY adapted motorcycle TB's on an LS1 that look anything NEAR as nice as a setup like this or Harrop (or Kinsler which I haven't seen)...and for someone who doesn't have the ability to cut their own billet parts, or fab their own sheetmetal parts (and an EDM to cut their own throttle shafts...)...what are they going to do, make some bondo nightmare and glue the TB's to it? Someone is proud of what he's putting on his car, and it looks cool...why rain on his parade with a destructive "suggestion" that doesn't actually provide a different solution (it sounds more like you're talking out of your ***) when you could either comment on how sweet it looks or just ASK "howcome you decided to go with this setup with smaller butterflies?" bigger isn't always better (or necessary)...you ever tried to drive a POWERFUL car with a V8 and oversized ITB's? Yeah it's fun and will help it wind out forever...but when you find that you don't have enough resolution in the throttle pedal to drive the car around town easily it gets old fast...and then when you turn the cruise control on and the car is all jittery and jerky when you reach a hill because the cruise box is opening the throttle too far to maintain speed up a hill and winds up needing to close it when it overshoots speed that just makes it worse.
Tyson...when you get them installed and running would you mind posting here or shooting me a PM or something just to let me know how dialing in the idle air control and getting everything setup and tuned goes for you? I'm VERY interested in this setup (I'd like to discuss it more with you so please do send me a PM) for my project car (not my Camaro, but still an LS1).

Thanks Mike for the kind words. If you have any questions about the product shoot Kenny from Accurate Injection an email. The guy is open, honest, and friendly about his product and his business. He's quick to respond and let you know the status of your product. Christmas break I hope to have things closer to running progress pics will follow for the LSX S30.
