Default Oil Barbell

I have rebuilt my LS motor, and the barbell sticks out .080". I just wanted to make sure it wasn't faulty, if I have to sand it down, or if the rear cover will take care of it.

Without seals, because I wanted to dry fit it first, it sticks out .035

I'm not gonna click on a link that consists of a random string of characters. You're gonna have to tell us what it REALLY is.

For that matter, wherever you got it from, might be part of your problem. Whoever "a.co" is, whatever country they're in, might not be very good at reverse engineering.

There's a saying in the ... world. (of humans, that is) It says "you get what you pay for". I think that's WRONG. The ACTUAL saying should be, "you get, AT BEST, what you pay for, and often ALOT less". With the result being, in general, if you pay the least, you get, AT BEST, the least; and maybe ALOT less than that.

That's fair but it's an Amazon link. It seemed legit to me.

I lay NO claim to having heard of EVERYTHING; butt, can't say I've ever heard of brand OywhC. Not saying of course that there aren't smart people there, or whatever; only, ... yeah.

Past some certain point, calipers and stuff like that, are your friend. No way I can proclaim with any kind of certainty how accurate Brand OywhC barbells are or even might be. Can't tell from the pic. No way anybody here can guess why a Brand OywhC barbell has fitment problems.

See above about "get" and "pay for".

Good luck with that.

I'd be looking for extensions for the 10-foot pole I wouldn't touch it with...

Absolute junk. Throw it away and run a stock one. I'm running a stock one in my 5.3 build that's likely to see 1000HP at the crank eventually. If you want to get an upgraded one, use the one from Improved Racing.

Try this one from Derale. High quality and not as expensive (overpriced) as many of the others.

The factory barbell works completely fine in most applications for most people; butt, it's an opportunity for an upgrade in acoupla ways.

Check out Sac City Corvette for probably the most dependable upgrade. Mighta been the first one, that everybody else followed after. I'm guessing, having had them and they all FIT, better than, apparently, ... Brand OywhC.

Just my .2 I wouldn't trust any vital parts to an engine from Amazon, I'm sure there are one or 2 decent parts that work really well but its just common sense. right now I'm using a SacCity LS oil barbell. You can get them off of Texas speed. SacCity has a pretty good reputation from what others have to say. I'll add a link. https://www.texas-speed.com/p-7613-s...m-barbell.aspx
