I have a question. This was a problem from last year. When I go to start my CETA, sometimes it wont start on the first time. If its cold (or first start of the day) if will start fine). Usually, I have to turn key on, then off, then back on to start it. I had the fuel pressure checked and for some reason, it wont hold the fuel pressure. I think the fuel pressure regulator is gone but I heard it was on the fuel pump or do you think its the pressure sensor? Please let me know. Thanks

Hi Gus,

It sounds a little like it could be the pass key as well. I had a similar issue with my 89 formula. The little chip in the key is a resistor and they use very thin wires up the column to connect to it. If the wire gets a fine break in it the computer gets an incorrect voltage and cuts the ignition and the fuel pump. Just a thought anyway. It seems a little early in your cars life to suffer this though. The regulator is in the tank with the pump like you were told.

That is the first thing that came to mind for me anyway.

thanks for the suggestion. But the thing is, when I turn the key on, the pump is activated and the fuel pressure gauge goes up then sometimes goes back down (its not holding the pressure sometimes). It seems more as if its a fuel pressure regulator don't you think? I also heard there is a fuel pressure regulator in the fuel rail.
