normal fluid color?
when i first changed the oil in my axel it was whit and milky...cleaned it all out with brake cleaner....refilled it with sythetic 75w90 and a bottle of gm additive...last week i changed my motor oil and thought i would check my rearend oil...and it was once again milky...i dont belive that is normal..could there be moisture getting into the axel? where?

Yes! And the hose should have a plastic cap thingie on the other end and should be up high enough so that when you go fording through rivers, that no water will come in the hose

ok let me get this thing straight...there should be a hose on the white plastic breather thingy with another plastic thingy at the end...anybody got a pic of what needs to be there???? please????

GM didn't include a hose on the breathers in our cars. There is a thread around that someone bought the pieces from GM to run a hose up higher than the breather with a loop in the hose. This was to keep oil and vapors from coming out of the housing though and not to keep water out. You shouldn't be getting water through the breather unless you have a tendency to drive through water that's up to your doors all the time.
