Default Ford 9" build up

Well I bought a Ford 9" rear end today at the swap meet for $120. It'll have to be narrowed and brackets welded on. I have friends that own their own shop and can do everything needed to make it fit my 2002 WS6.

My question is, has anyone ever done this?? Any advice and or comments?? If this has been covered somewhere before, please let me know so that I can check it out. Thankyou very much.

Check out some of the sponsors. Many of them sell bracket kits that allow you weld everything on by yourself so it will fit in a late model F body. You're going to need quite a bit of work to get everything to fit. Torque arm mount, panhard mount, spring mount, etc. Be sure to take lots of pics and post up the results!

91 views and going up. Guess I'm the only 1 to try it. That's scary. I'll update when I can.

The problem with doing it this way is you are gonna have to still buy an axle kit, and by the time you do all the modification you could have just had an axle and housing package that bolts in and has a mount for the TA.
