are these good.. any that are cheap man im looking to get the noise out of my rear.. I messed up and packed my wheel bearings with greese instead of letting the gear oil lubracate them and peeps on here are 100% sure my axles are toast now so im looking for a quick fix before it gets worse..

those axles look ok, Randy's Ring and Pinion is where i get all my stuff from. Yukon is a great brand of gear and axles.

But it sounds to me that axle's are not your problem. Packing bearings with grease when installing is a smart idea. i have always done that. Packing the bearings keeps the bearings greased until the car is first driven after a rear rebuild. greasing the front pinion bearing is crucial on a rebuild, because if the baering and race is dry on the first rotations of the bearing, it will cause the bearing to scar the race. this will lead to rearend noise.

why were new bearings installed? did u install all of them? sounds to me that something was not set up right after the bearings were installed. this could be a few different things such as switching the carrier caps, not pulling the pinion gear up properly (improper backlash) etc...

it was about 4 months ago and dood at firestone told me that they were bad when I was doing a inspection.

so I took em out and put new ones in. noise was gone till about 4 days ago. same noise but this time its not only turning right its going straight left and right.

same noise..

still dont sound like axles, if the axles are bad, there will be small "pits" where the axle meets the outer bearing. thats the sign of wear. if not, they are fine. I have run into this problem a few times, but not very ofetn. like i said, pull the axles out and look for "pits". if they are fine your problem is somewhere else.

p.s. Packing bearings is ok, tell this dude at Firestone he needs to do some more homework. Or just go back to changing tires.

the guy at firestone told me to change the wheel bearings.. the guys on here told me that packing the bearings with greese was wrong that I shouldnt have done that..

what else could make these go out then if its not the axles??

ok well i use staright 80w 90 Valvoline with no posi additives. thats the same amount i use. takes allmost 2 bottles.

just sounds to me that you didnt set the backlash correct. have a well respected shop in your area take a look at the car.
