spoll hahaha
ya, of of my roomates had a locker car I drove it a lot. I'm not gona get one, for were I live in the city basily. Looking for the spool to save weight and no problems at the track. But not sure for a car you race every 2 weeks, if the scuffing kills DRs more then normal. Not looking to buy 3 sets of tires a summer.

Here is the way I look at it. If you do a lot of inner city driving, go with a Truetrac for under 600 rwhp or go for the locker if you are making (or planning to) more than 600 rwhp. If your car is just a weekend driver, or your driving is mostly highway and rural, then go with the spool. It is lighter and cost less to boot. With a spool you will only notice tire scrub when turning in intersections. On winding roads you'll never notice it. Bob

Spool is the only way to fly IMO. Lockers stay in your lifted 4wd's. I never wore my DR's or street tires out from scuffing. Going back to a 9" soon and it will get another spool for SURE. 4th car with a spool here and never had any issues

I would never get a locker my friend had one in his 9 inch and you could hear it ratcheting and popping around corners from 6 blocks away.
I drive my car around town with a spool and dont mind it one bit, with normal radials I dont notice them wearing down much faster than normal but it seemed like it ate up my et streets pretty quick.

The spool will work great for those long trips into work on the highways and back roads, however in-town driving around tight parking lots and corners and it could get old quick. Of course when I had one, it was in a 69 trans-am with no power steering but I would decide based on if your looking for pure straight line performance and reliability, or if you want to keep a very nimble tight cornering ride
