narrow rear end
looking to see how narrow i can go with stock suspension on rear end housing width. will be running a 15x10 inch wheel with a drag radial.i would also like to keep stock wheel well. will loose the bump stops and do some massaging with a bfh if i have to.dont really like the look of the 15x10 with the 7.5 backspace. not to mention i really want to tuck my tires in the quarter panel because id like to set the ride height as low as i can without it hitting. i like the low tucked look. any pics or ideas would be highly appreciated.thanks, christian btw my car is a 98 z28

I would like to know too. I will be doing some research and will post up in this thread of what I find
I have some ideas obout running an 8.8 that no one has tried (or posted about). I have two 94-98 8.8s and a 99-04. It looks like the 99-04 is roughly 4" narower from end to end then an F body rear, and the 94-98 is around 6" narower.
I already have moser 31spl axles and an eaton posi for the 94-98 rear. A set of billet specialties stars with a lot of back spacing will look nasty on the LT1!

I went one inch narrower on each side and went with a 15 x 10 with a 6.5" backspacing, here is a link to my Camaro. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=12
You can order a rear up to 3.00" shorter per side and still use oem mounting points, FYI. Bob

another thing to know is if you go over 2-2.5" you will have to loose your emergency brake, but also told you can get it to work again with some fab work. We will see im tring to find out more with the e-brake

With this setup you can fit the 325 wide tires? I'm getting ready to order my rearend now that my tax return has arrived, just trying to put the details together. I want to stuff 325's under my car without spacers. Once I figured out this narrowing issue, and pick a spool/locker/other I can place my order.
