I had a terrible whine in my rear end and got it checked out and it turned out to be my ring and pinion. I had 4.10's and they always whined a little because the shop that installed them did a terrible job!

I had new 4.10's put in and instantly I have a slite whine. I've heard a few times that 4.10's are naturally supposed to have a small whine! Is that true or are my new gears already shot?

A slight whine is normal, depending on the gear manufacturer.
