Default What brand of gear to get?

I've heard good things about Yukon/Motive gears. I had a set of the Yukon 3.70's in my IROC's rear end. I want 4.10's for my Camaro now with the 6 speed. What is the best option? I don't want to spend $$$ on this rear end, it's a driver. But I want a bit more performance and my stock set is whining so time for an upgrade.

Just Differentials gear selection?

Just an opinion, but for a street car 4:11's might be way too low. I've got 3:91 in mine, it's my daily driver, first is very short. Any grade at all & I start in 2nd -gas mileage went to hell. But all said -I'm very happy with it.

I agree. I'm in the process of changing my rear from 4.10's with an Auburn (which blew up, hence the reason I have it apart) to stock 3.42's with a Detroit Truetrac.

The engine has enough torque that 4.10's aren't necessary unless you spend your entire life at the strip running slicks.

4.10s in mine and I love them. My gas mileage in no way went to ****. Same mileage in the city and maybe a little less on highway but I still cruise at like 2 grand at 80 mph. I have motives but and 4.10 setup usually whines around 55 and stuff. its just the way they are. Some get lucky but most dont.

Everyone that I know does run 4.10 or better in the 6 speed car. When I had a 10 bolt I blew it up and my buddy had a set of 4.56 gears laying around so I put them in it until I could get my 9" and man it felt awesome. I have the 3.90 gears in my 9" and it feels like a pig. IMO I wouldnt put anything but a 4.10 or better in a rear end. I have 4.56 gears waiting on me when I get back home. Skrew 3.90 gears.
