I have a 2000 Z28 with traction control and limited slip with 2.73 gears gu2
& g80 but it needs bearings...I use to own a 1999 z28 with traction control and limited slip with 3.23 gears gu5 & g80 and found it MUCH better. I figure if im going to spend the money i might as well get 3.42 over 3.23 but I want it to have traction control and limited slip.

So my questions are this...
If i were to rebuild it with new bearing what else do i need parts wise to make it 3.42s? (just need to know exzactly what i need, im guessing just a torson series 3 with 3.42 gears? but does that effect anything with posi or traction control???

Whats the price difference and it getting a whole rear any easier?

If I were to put lets say a 1998 3.8 v6 rear end in with lets say 3.23 or 3.42 with gu5 or gu6 with g80 and traction control (I know thats rare) but would it be near the same as one out of a ls1???? any loses in durability or power?

The installation kit includes everything you will need. Your speedo and odometer will be off which can be corrected through the tune. You will need someone to install the gears who knows what they are doing and is experienced in setting gears up correctly.

It would be easier to get a rear that already has 3.42 gears, but sometimes you end up buying somebody else's problems. These rears are weak and there are plenty of them out there that are on their way to the boneyard. Bob
