I haven't used it yet but have seen pics of and heard people praising the hammered paint from rustoleum. Here is a link I found to their site.

I cleaned mine real good with a wire wheel and wipped it down with some thinner and a rag then sparyed it with dupli color truck bead liner. It has a nice mat finish to it and the stuff won't chip off like regular spary paint. Looks really nice to.
