Default Pinion bearing fit

I'm installing some AAM 4.10 gears in my 10 bolt. The smaller pinion bearing near the yoke seems to be an interference fit with the pinion. Is this bearing a interference fit on the pinion or should it be a slip fit? When I disassembled the rear the old bearing easily came off the pinion after the yoke was removed.
Thanks for help.

It is an interference fit,but not as much as the other pinion bearing or the carrier bearings. The slight 'interference' fit keeps the race part of the bearing from 'spinning' on the pinion shaft. The tightening of the pinion nut draws it on. Sometimes/'more often than not',for disassembly of the pinion, the pinion has to be forced out of the housing, that's the slight interference fit. When that bearing comes off easily,it was spinning on the pinion shaft, which it shouldn't be.

I often take the old bearings and grind them out to slip fits for mock ups. Saves a bunch of headaches when setting up the gears.

What bit do you guys like to use for opening up the bearings? You guys use a dremel or air tools?

I use an air grinder with a carbide bit. http://www.eastwood.com/8pc-dual-cut...PFMaAnAu8P8HAQ
