Any added insurance on a rear end is a good thing IMO. So yes its a good idea especially with the TC you have.

I agree. Every little bit helps. Plus, they look pretty cool if you ask me!

Not to highjack your thread - but I just picked up a Lingenfelter version of the TA Cover from the boards? Don't know for sure if it has the 'Stud Kit'? What should I look for or see if it does? Just figured someone in this thread could tell me. Thanks!

It should come with 4 long bolts (studs). You remove the cap bolts and replace them with these. Make sure that you mark which side the caps come off of. If you don't then you can run into major problems. Put the new bolts in and put on the new cover. Pretty simple. Took me about 30 mins to do it.

I would say go for it if your not planning on buying a new rear right now. When I had my 3.73's installed last June, I had the TA cover and stud kit put on. Car is a daily and saw 40-45 runs on the strip last year as well as many on the street with BFG DR's and so far it hasn't . I usually launch at 3500rpm's feathering the clutch (which is also stock) just in fear of it blowing. I have a 12bolt/9" fund (I'm not sure which one I want yet) though.

Bottom line: I think the TA cover has kept my rear going!
