how many quarts w t/a cover

Default how many quarts w t/a cover

i change my rear end oil w 75w 90 redline now i got a t/a cover so right now i have 2 quarts in there and its still not full so i know i have to fill it till it starts leaking out from the top fill hole so how many more quarts will i need?

Two quarts. The fill hole in the TA cover is higher than the vent tube in the front of the diff so do not fill it to the hole.

Stock it only holds 1.75 quarts with the TA cover you could go to 2.25 and still not be higher than the vent, but you will never reach the fill hole. TA says it should take a 1/2 quart more than stock.

I did this two weeks ago in mine and parked on a hill and ended up with a small puddle. Learned the hard way.

Oh, do not forget to add the limited slip additive from GM.

cool thanx i had 2 rdline 75- 90 in there but i wasnt sure and i did add the limited slip additive in there also
