Default How long before change fluid after a gear swap?

I've heard so many different answers from multiple people and my searches on Tech didn't net me a clear answer, either.
I got new Motive gears installed about 5,000 miles ago. They make just a mild wine at highway speeds. Is it a good idea to change my fluid already after a gear swap? And what's the advantage to doing so?

i recently had 4.10s installed. i was told to have it changed after 3-4 heat cycles i think it was. not to go by mileage. ive had it changed and everything is fine with no noise. no track passes however.

Granted mine was a whole new 9", but my posi clutches started grabbing when I backed out of parking spots at 350 miles, so I changed...I know, big difference.

That said, I know lots of people that change at 5k or less...it's cheap and easy...so there's no real disadvantage.
