Default anyone running synthetic in there 12-bolt

thinking about going to synthetic gear oil from royal purple. anyone doing this with a posi. any louder or better?

I am running redline in my 9" it quieted up a little

is that synthetic redline or not.
i have that redline heavy dudy shock stuff and it almost as thick as grease. i figured i definatly isnt helping performance.

i woundn't. rear ends really dont need it. regualar oil will last 100,000 miles but i would change it evey 25,000 anyway. it is not worth the cost unless you got lots of extra money and you car already has everything else you can put on it.

never have extra money and i have a list a mile long for the car, so ill take that as a no, im not going to do it.

Redline is full synthetic, it is all I will use in my motor and my rear

i curently have royal purple in the motor, and redline heay dudy shock proof 90w250 or something like that in the rear. its thick as hell, but yes it is a synthetic.

Moser and Strange do not recommend Syn. for use with their Eaton posi's. There's no need for it anyway so why do it. ANY 80/90 gear oil will do the job just fine.

How much does the Moser hold 2 bottles?

Actually the Moser will uses between 2.25 and 2.5 bottles. If you use the side fill plug, you'll get about 2.25 in before it starts coming out.

I use the fill plug on T/A cover and put 2.5 bottles in... I also put in two 4 oz. bottles of limited slip additive as well.
