Default Torque Arm Pinion Angle (with radials?)

So I'm about to install an adjustable torque arm and I know you are supposed to set the pinion angle with the wheels on the ground and suspension loaded.

What I don't know is whether I should put my drag radials on that I intend to use at the track or leave my street tires on to set the pinion angle?

I doubt there would be much difference, but I wanted to check...

You won't see much of a difference but if they are 28" tall I'd put them on. Bob

Shouldn't matter if you are setting pinion angle off the driveline. I use my harmonic damper as a reference point for drive line angle. Then set the pinion angle according to that number.

Pinion angle has nothing to do with the horizon, or tire size. Pinion angle is the "u-joint working angle" as computed from the difference in the center lines of the pinion shaft and the driveshaft.

Thanks guys. I understand pinion angle a little better now and realize the tire doesn't matter. Still learning.

Is -2 degrees what most people go with?

I have my rear set at -2*, for a full street car I would shoot for -1* or even 0*
