Drag brakes do not limit you on narrowing because you can flip them to the front side.

Brake gap is something you must know when ordering axles.

You would have to look online at Stranges catalog to figure out your specific brake kit based off their requirements. This way you know you are getting the proper kit for your needs.

Default LT1 brakes/narrowed 3" perside

Couldn't you just flip the LT1 backing plates to the front just like the LS backing plates to avoid contact with calipers and the pan hard bar mounting bracket on the left side(driver side)? If that can done, narrowing to 3" on both side shouldn't be an issue at all. Is it possible to request for Strange Engineering to that?

I currently don't have one in front of me to double check but you will still lose your E-Brake swapping them from side to side, but yes the brake caliper brackets themselves can be swapped from side to side. I believe your brake line will be to short when doing this, not an issue if you planned on putting new on to begin with.

S60 narrowed 3" per side and Strange S-Series rear brakes is the plan and be done with it.

I would use a factory ls1 rear brake. I mail backing plates to strange all the time.

The problem with it though is trying to fit the LS1 brake/caliper in a 15" diameter wheel, such as the Billet Specialties Street Lites, and I'm not talking about their Fbody specific(7.5"BS) size wheels. LT1 brakes are a lot smaller in diameter and so as the Strange S-Series rear brakes.
