Default Auto-x on slipping posi

Last week while at the track my auburn posi started to fail. I was doing peg-legged burn outs before my runs. My friend who drives a lancer wants me to go auto-xing with him this weekend, and I have to show to put him in his place.

Can i still auto-x with a slipping posi? I think it only happens when it is hot. Will I damage the rearend anymore.

A 12 bolt is on its way for christmas, so I am not too concered about the rearend but want to be able to drive home.

Shouldn't be a problem Josh, do you have the Auburn or the Torsen ?

Where are you guys going AX'ing ?

BTW, I plan on putting an 8.8 in mine this winter - hope to be at the track abusing it in the spring.

It's the auburn with the clutches. We are going to the Tire rack facility in Southbend. It is supposed to be a really nice flat excellent surface.
I'll post up more details if you are intrested.

Wow, that's quite a haul for me. What date ?

As far as the rear goes, I don't think you will hurt it further AX'ing, it's probably only slipping is all. Probably an oil change would fix it.

I autox twice this year on a BAD Auburn posi. It just understeers like a ****. Going to a 2000 WS6 Torsen rear made a BIG difference over the bad POS Auburn unit. I just wish I had the T2R so I could put the power down even better in the turns.
