Default Why not more 8.5 rear ends in 4th gens?

They are all came in 86-87 TurboRegals, and I think impala ss's, and caprice cop cars(tons of in junk yards), why dont people adapt them to f-bodys more?

Personally if I go to the expense and trouble of adapting/converting something I want the strongest rear end available - but that's just me.

I know of a few of them with over 400 low 10 second passes.

From what I hear there may be one availible soon

It should come in a little cheaper than the 12 bolt and its only got .125" smaller ring gear. I don't know the efficiency of the 10 bolt but it can't be worse than the 9"

I don't think either the TRs or the Caprices used torque arms. The GNX may have but good luck finding one of those. If someone were to fab one for us that we could mount a torque arm to and have it cost less than a 12-bolt I might consider it.
