My car doesn't have traction control, so why is my switch wired up?
Hey guys, I pulled my trim around the radio off to see about putting some switches in where my traction control switch would be. My car doesnt hace TC but there is a dummy switch in its place. When i took the trim off it had wires going to it. Why would it be like that and can i just cut them? I want to get a line lock and i thought about putting my switch in that spot so it would look stock. Thanks guys. Charles

Whether your car has the option or not they still come wired for it. My car has no power options at all but all the harness' for the power options are in the car ready to be hooked up. It was probrably easiest for GM to wire all the cars the same on the production line.

its just a cap to protect the wires, wether your car has the option or not its wired for it, cheaper to make one harness then many diff ones. If you wanna use a TCS switch for a line lock you can do it.
