How many people running 31 spline axles in their 9 inch?
Just curious. Im fixing to order a 9 inch and an curious if a 31 spline axle will hold up. You see my times in my sig. The car is stock weight and plan to spray a 200 shot when I get a rear to hold up and my 60 ft times down. Will a 31 splined axle do it or should I look more into a 35? Thanks
BTW Ill be running some Et drag radials on 15X10s.

I went 35 Spline just to be safe, I know I make no where near enough power to have 35 spline axles but after spending 2400 on a rear I don't whant to have any doubts!! And when i start on a new engine I won't have to worry at all. Thats my opinion!!

I have maybe 500+ passes with my 31 spline axles. The axles have never gotten messed up. Some folks think I might break my soft locker with my current power level. I guess we will see since for me to upgrade to 35 spline means I should just get a new rearend.

Damn thats Impresssive. Well anyways I ended up buying a rear from a guy local. Moser ( inch. 4:30 gear, 35 spline axles, spool, Nodular chunk) has a Mark williams Aluminum Pinion support and has LS1 brakes already set up on it. Thanks for the Input fellas

I just ordered a 9" from LS1 Speed this monday. I went with 35 splines and a locker, but I'm all about overkill. The reason I ordered a new rear end in the 1st place is because I bent one stock axle in the 10 bolt and it's getting noisey.

I just ordered my 9" a little while ago, for the same reason!!! except I bent both axles, and vibrates when driving I am excited for the 9" though!

Let's go a step further. How many people are running 31 Spline axles in a 9" w/ a 6 speed. I'm thinking about buying a 9" w/ a TrueTrac and that combination only comes in 31 spline axles.
