Default building a 9 inch

i bought a 9 inch housing off ebay for cheap. i am thinking of building the rear for mine or a buddies 98 Z28. does anyone offer weld on tabs and brakets for such a project? if so could someone point me in the direction of which sponsor could help me out.

Thanks

I looked into this recently. The best way to do it is to take the stock 10 bolt and cut all the brackets off that and weld to the housing. Buy a TQarm bracket etc. I'm going to end up buying a beefier aftermarket housing and going from there.

This has been covered time and time again....... you need to make sure the axle tube dia is the same on the 9 inch as the 10 bolt.... you need a fixture to maintain axle centerline you have to have a way to straighten the housing because after you get done welding all the brackets on the thing its going to be anything but straight. basically you'd spend more time and money in buying tools than you would if you just bought one....

clamp it to a table and use a level. One with a degree wheel.

Same project going on here. What is the best place to order the axle tube ends so that the brakes bolt up and all that? Best priced place at that, Ive heard about $90 so far for a pair of the ends. Also does anyone know the cheapest place to order Moser axles for the 9 inch? There should be more info about this swap.
