How Do I change and check my rear end fluid. What do I use to get that filler plug out?

Use a 3/8 ratchet and extention to remove the plug. The fluid should be up to the bottom of the plug hole. To change the fluid, just remove the rear cover bolts and pry the cover loose from the bottom and let it drain out. Buy a new gasket and 2 qts of gear lube, and refill until it starts to come out of the plug hole.
Hope this helps.

On a complete drain and refill don't forget 4 oz of limited-slip differential lubricant additive.

Do you need the additive if you're using Royal Purpul Max Gear?

Read the side of the bottle. It should tell you somewhere whether or not the additive is included.

Default I'm thread-jacking, nobody moves and nobody gets hurt!

How many bottles of the purple stuff do I need? They only had 3 at the store so, I cleared them out hoping it was enough

Two bottles will do it and Royal purple has the additive already in it.

You probably have a torsen.

If you have an auburn you'll need the fluid or it may make noise.
